If you have Kitec brand pex water line in your home, you may want to check out the link and take action.  If you have pex, but it is not the Kitec brand, you “should” have nothing to worry about.  Pex has been in use for decades now and this problem is limited specifically to the Kitec brand.  Defective water lines.
